My mom always lets her outside, and I knew this was going to happen. And it did. She did not come back. Not sure if she's still out, or if someone picked her up and brought her to the pound where she's not far off from death. I hope I get to see her (alive) again.
I feel like making posters with a $100 reward and making my mom write the check.

I wish I could tell you I stole your cat, but I didn't!
I hope you find her.
She'll come back though I think. She knows where she is guaranteed food and shelter, and I don't think she would want to stay away from home too long.

Yeah, but the thing is, my mom always does this, so I'm sure neighboors are getting tired of seeing her and probably trapped her or something. I hope she's still around, but I don't know... Only time will tell I guess.

Check the pound and ask around the neighborhood. Some vet's have bulletin boards and you might find a note there if someone found her. Good luck, it's always bad to lose a pet.

I think she'll come back. We've two outdoor cats and another in the past, and we never had any trouble with them not coming back. Cats have a lot better sense of direction and location than us humans do, and they are pretty adept at finding food on their own. I wouldn't worry too much unless she's been gone for 2-3+ days.

The thing is, she's not an outside cat. She's scared of birds and other things that would generally be food to other cats. Not to mention that other cat in the neighboorhood that my cat picked a fight with before, though she did win I think... she was not hurt and the other cat was.
What's somewhat reassuring is that the other cat has been around for long, so if no one picked that one up, chances are no one picked up my cat. I just hot she did not get stuck anywhere, my neighboor's yard has lot of potentially dangeraus places where a cat would like to explore.
I'll just "sleep" on it and hope for the best tomorow. If she's not back I'll go buy a bunch of tuna and put it on the deck in a non accessable place so my cat will try to get to it (more time to notice her).

I think she has passed away. I just realized that because that other cat did not get picked up and has been around for long, chances are mine did not get picked up, and for sure she'd be back by now, she has never been gone this long. We'll find out tomorow if she's at the pound.
It's not only sadning, but it's a piss off. It could have been prevented, my mom should never had let her go outside while we are gone, it's common sense, and it's not the first time she does that. All the times the cat waited all day at the door for someone to get home and let her in where just lucky times.

I put her favorite treats outside with some water... I hope this will work. I just hope they will at least be gone by tomorow since if they're still there, it means she did not even come to the house. But if they're gone, it can be her, or it can be some other animal...

Well I doubt I`ll see her again. Food was still there this morning. If she was still alive I`m sure she would of at least stopped by once and notice the food and eat it. If she does not die of getting stuck somewhere, she`ll probably starve or dehygrate, I doubt she`d be able to catch something.
Only chance is that she actually is at the pound, and that I`ll find out once my dad get`s home, but I highly doubt it since that other cat has never been picked up so why mine would in a day?
I also had a dream she came back with half a missing tail and her claws all screwed up, but I think I`ll be lucky to see her like that.
Oh well, crap happends, and it`s my mom`s fault.
Don`t mind my apostraphies, I`m typing this from school and there`s not real ones on these french keyboards, just accents.

Day 2
Still gone. Not one sign of her, and she's not at the pound. This is not right. She would of came back herself by now. I bought some tuna, but I just realized it won't help since it will just attract the other cat and make her more scared to come if she's still alive. I just hope she's ok. I had a dream she came back and half her tail was missing and her claws/fingers where all broken. I'm going to go keep looking for her. Wish me luck.

3 days... no sign of her still... but it's snowing so I'll go for a walk around the neighboorhood to look for potential paw tracks.

Not tracks at all. I think she's gone for good. Man I'm going to miss her. We're also thinking it's someone who picked her up, and if that's the case, at least she's not dead, but I won't see her anymore.

She is such a beautiful cat, maybe someone wanted to keep her. If so, and she ever gets loose, she will come home.

Just an update. We have about 1/4 foot of snow now, still no tracks, or people who seen her. Flyers have been put in somewhat 150 mailboxes around the area, we have it on the news channel, the news paper etc... There's probably more notices of the cat around then there are "vote for me" signs. (municipal elections). We're thinking it's some jerk who picked her up and said too bad. If this is the case I hope she pukes like crazy to make the "owner" want to get rid of her by deciding to call or let her outside. But for all I know it could be someone who drived by and picked her up and left town. I don't think I'll see her again. Every night I start crying because I would always pet her quickly while she's all in a ball on my bed, go the washroom, notice that she follwed me, go back in my room, she'd come back, I'd go to bed and she'd jump on the bed and cuddle with me. I'd always put the VCR remote in front of the door so I can leave the door open but so it does not open wide (it always wants to open by itself completly) and only a few days ago did I realize I can put the remote back on top of the VCR and close the door complelty.
I have an eraser in front of the LED of my hub since it's too bright at night and it has been there since before she was gone, it reminds me of how I made her attack the shadows when the eraser was not there. Only her would do those kind of funny tricks, only her...

This may turn into good news... Someone might have spotted her in a neighboorhood about a km from ours and it's a quiet enough area but lot of houses. The cat was spotted in someone's yard but they are not sure if it belongs to them or if it is my cat, and could not get a closer look, but they wil l try to call it and get closer. I'm trying not to get my hopes up too much as it might not be her, but at least there's somewhat hope, and I did have a small feeling she might of went further then we think if no one picked her up.
So pray hard that it is her! Thank you.

Good luck to you my friend, I hope you get her back. She may not be an outdoor cat,but cat's by nature are surpisingly resourceful creatures. So it's very possible that's she's been able to manage on her own this long.

my last cat, sam, took off for a month once.
i did signs, flyers, called all my neighbours the works.
nothing, no sam. i greved for him for a couple of weeks or so.
then one day i came home from work, and he was on the porch waiting for me.
didn't look like he missed a meal.

The problem with mine is that someone picked her up, she could be anywhere in town, or even out of town. I was thinking, if it would of start snowing 1 day earlyer, we'd have her right now.
But maybe that person my mom was talking to did in fact see our cat, if that's the case we'll most likely get her soon I hope.
