Daylight saving time

Just a reminder that we have to put clocks back today. Also, there might be a bit of a time confusing on the forum as everything settles in. Not sure if the time will be changed on the server or not, so for now I'm not touching any buttons until I get a response from the host about this. So everything may seem an hour behind.

Though this can be fixed in the user CP in the time section, for forum time, but the shoutbox is independing of the forum. In fact, the time zone is hard coded to GMT -5:00 and I may or may not have to offset it back. Same goes with forum/site IP logging but that's an admin-only issue.

I hate daylight savings time. I mean sure, you get to sleep an extra hour one day a year, but I can never remember when to set all the clocks forward or back, or when we're on daylight savings time or not and all that crap. I mean is all this even necessary anymore. I mean we have all sorts of nifty stuff like light bulbs nowadays to counteract the whole sunset thing :P

Yeah I find it's sort of silly too, and who sets this standard? What I don't get is, how is it that everyone remembers, I never heard of someone around here getting in an hour early or late at work because they forgot. It's not like it's all over the news or anything.

Yep, and less dark in the morning, so I'll be more awake.

I just changed the time for the user logger and as well as for the chatbox, so hopefully everything will remain in sync. No response on if the host does daylight saving time to the server or not. I don't think they do that.
