Try to avoid submitting some that are already there though. So a search to see if they are there. I'll check as well.

With the new search feature, it will be cool to have as many smilies as you can imagine. Just do a search for christmas, and you get christmas ones, do a search for birthday, and birthday ones etc... (still working on proper keywording though, I do a bit every day)

With over 1000 we'll have quite a good searchable library. I will keyword them as I go, and what's nice is the ability to somewhat search per subject. Type in animal, and you get a bunch of animal ones etc...

I'm planing to set a record. After school I'm actually going to contact guiness and see if there's already a record set with this, and if it's actually a valid type of record. Maybe they would not accept it since it's not really something that hard to do, but it's worth checking into. Only problem, I'm not equiped with heavy pockets in case of sudden large traffic that it would probably send us.

lol yeah. When I gave everyone 500000 I messed up the query and made it give to user ID 2 and up and did not bother going back to give myself some as I was experimenting. I'll make up for it soon. I just need to program the lottery and oh... the steal feature. I need to come up with something good for that one. I'm thinking of an interactive flash where you have to "break in" the bank or something.

Good idea. Sure I can add it in the database but I decided from now on I won't be touching the database anymore, just to be fair with the system.

frig that scared the hell out of me. I was in phpmyadmin and clicked on the wrong database and noticed the entire keyword field was gone from the database. Man was I swearing. I'm deleting those databases right now. Nothing important. One was for the BBT survivor we were playing months ago, and the other was when I tested out IB1.2

I'm currently applying to Guiness World Records to see if this is a valid type of record to be established and broken, but I think I'll want at least 5000 before I actually make it official, but it takes months to get a response so I'll just add some like crazy meanwhile. I'll have to make myself a system for adding smilies fast, as the admin cp one is not that great for mass adding smilies.

Imagine if this actually works out, being in the book of world records? That would be quite neat!

Hmm the form is messed up... It's to register, and yet it also wants me to fill in the "already registered" field... I'll wait a bit and see if they fix it.

I give this a 10% chance it's actually going to work out, but it does not hurt to try. Watch this, some forum has like 1000000 smilies lol.

The avatar problem. You have your own to choose from or uploading one from a website.
I wanted to upload one from my computer. I don't have my own website to upload from and to upload one using villagephoto might be a problem at times if I run out of bandwidth.
Will use villagephoto for now, but if you have a solution that would be great.

oops my bad. It was disabled under the newbie member group. There's the newbie, member and ice age member groups, and as you go higher there's more options and less restrictions (more pm space etc). But I enabled avatars. Never figured but usually the first thing someone might do when they register is upload an AV so might as well have it enabled.

I'm adding about 50 more right now. Found most of them at A/F never realized there was so much there I never added. I was not into adding more smilies until I decided to come up with this search feature making it easier to find them. Imagine once we get 1000 it would be insane going through all that without the search. I think I'll actually wait till we have like 600 or so to contact guiness that way I can look for forums that may have more so that I actually set a real record. Some forum out there might have like a few million lol.

Hmm when I set the record, one of the rules should be to not have X rated ones, it will make it more challanging.


I know what you mean about the popup window lol. I think if I pulled off the search thing, I should be able to pull off a page thing, maybe like 50 per page or something. But the search feature is what makes it much easier to find some though.
