i wash my microsoft natural keyboard with water, it's never hurt it.
i just take it out back and use the water hose on it.
of course i let it dry for a couple of days before plugging it back in.....

I've heard of people doing that after spilling something on the keyboard. Nothing else you can do in that case. Like you said, it has to be dry before use.

There's always the dishwasher too, leave it in for the dry cycle.
I dont think that would work though, it would probably melt.

I have a few old keyboards here... I should try it.
Something I do want to try though is putting a computer outside when it's -30C and turn it on, and come back the next morning and see if it still works. I'll do it with a 486 or something. I'll build a igloo to keep it safe in case it snows (don't want snow to go inside of it though the fans
)
But I'd need a thermometer for that since the temp in the igloo would probably be hotter.
