Opression

Hey Everyone,
Just had one of my most enraging experiences today, so I thought I'd share it with you.
Last year, my school threw the idea of Uniforms into the air. I was adamantly against it, and I said that it would infringe on my right to express myself and my opinions, and that it made me less of an individual as far as the school was concerned. The uniforms turned out to be exactly like my work uniform, which means I'm wearing substancially the same thing day after day, week after week. I tried getting out of the school, but I couldn't, so I learnt to cope with the uniforms (They DO have some Perks ).
Anyway, every year we elect a representative for our grade. This year, one of my friends was running again. I helped him put up some of his campaign posters this morning. Now, you must understand, his posters are simply meant to attract attention and get the occaisional laugh. We're all mature human beings, so a little humour is good once and a while. Well, after my first two classes of the day, I noticed that the posters were all gone. The hour that I had spent helping to put them up seemed to be wasted. I would have to wait until after school to get an answer.
After school, I asked my friend about it. Turns out, because a couple of posters could have been interpreted as sexually-suggestive, the school removed his name from the election, tore down most of his posters and basically had him suspended. What a load of crap. Now I remember why I gave our school principal the nickname "Gestapo Glenn".
