Today marks the anniversay of the first recorded computer bug in history, found in the Mark II Aiken Relay Calculator as it was being tested at Harvard University.

So what was the first computer bug you ask?

A moth.

Stuck in Relay #70 of Panel F. The operators affixed the bug to the report which now lies in the Naval Surface Warfare Center Computer Museum at Dahlgren, Virginia. On a side note, this incident also brought about the first reference of a computer being "debugged" which of course later was later introduced into the lexicon in reference to computer programming.

haha I never knew the word bug came from that.

Is it a coincidence? It's also Google's 5th aniversery today.
