I switched from SMTP to php mail() for the board, so topic subscriptions, reporting posts to moderator (not like it's ever needed here :) ) and other email activities should work. :awesome:

I don't know... This Red Squirrel guy has been saying some terrible things.... :roflmao2: :P

Anyway, good thing those work! I don't use them, but it's good that they are functional. :yo:

With the SMTP, what did you fill in and do you have to have access to sendmail?

Oh wait, you were never using PHP()mail? I use that and for some reason, when someone subscribes to a topic, me root account on my system get's a copy of that email, it's weird.

I would just put in the right info such as the smtp server, my webmaster email so if they reply it goes to me, but for some reason it would never work. I would get "MAIL ERROR!!!" all the time. I think the problem is in fact with sendmail as it is disabled on this server. sort of my fault I think as I was using the server to send my newsletter and they thought it was spam. But open relay is not secure anyway so it's good they did that, but I wish it would at least work locally.
