I just signed up to a mailing list to get info on the progress on Napster (they are trying to bring it back) and I got a autoresponse from a @roxio.com email address. Quite interesting...

Yep, Roxio purchased the Napster network last year. It's going to be brought back as a pay-service. Kinda sucks when you remember the old days, but oh well....

Actually, since Roxio owns the Napster service, and other pay services do already exists, the money would go to Roxio and some directly to the music producers, one would assume. (Apple iTunes anyone?)
