OTTAWA (CP) - The Canadian Food Inspection Agency and Harvest Meats Co. Ltd. are warning people with an allergy to milk protein not to consume Harvest brand Honey Garlic Sausage. This product may contain milk protein that is not declared on the label.

The affected product is sold in a 500-gram package, bearing the UPC 0 57393 70180 9. All best before codes up to and including August 22 are affected by this alert.

That's bad, they are suppost to label everything! It's the LAW (I think).
I suspect a big money loss by that company.

If only everyone just didn't eat dairy or meat... If only... :banghead: :banghead:

Anyway, I have heard of times when companies didn't say that their products contained gelatin. :bsod: That's not as bad as not listing dairy, but it gets vegetarians angry because most of the time animal tissue is involved.  It's a bad feeling to know you ate something like that. :( It makes you feel sick. Well, it does me anyway.

Yeah I know what you mean. If you're a vegetarian and end up eating meat of some kind without knowing, it's not a good feeling. It would be like someone slipping tomators, onions and mushrooms in my burger.
