Ghetto Cooling Unit Yeah!
I was bord one hot day, and I built this. The concept is simple, put ice in an an enclosed area and blow air through it so the cold air goes out, the cold air stays at the bottom, so the fan blowing out is at the bottom, while the fan blowing in is at the top, the front being the easiest to put it, and as well as the PSU fan blowing in. (in the 486 days, PSU's did not get hot like today )
So two fans on top blowing in, and one fan on the bottom blowing out, and the ice tray is kept at the bottom where it gets decently cold. When I originally tested this concept, I was using an enclosed bottle with ice and never thought of using an actual tray, but it did work a bit, with an ice tray it would work much better.
On with the pics...

This is not an actual PC though, just the case. I tried putting Ice in my PC but I got too nervous when it started to condense (it was in a closed jar). What I need is dry ice. Or even beter yet - liquid N2. I can just put it in a spray bottle and occasionally spray the computer.

I was actually considerating patending this "technology" since I don't think there's anything like it already. Maybe if well engeneered it could actually be very cold air coming out. This was a 5-minute setup thingamagic and was not very effective though.

hahah, the ice will give off water, even in smaller amounts which will in return fry your MOBO and everything else. If you really want to talk about this red, my friend and I are devising a way that will have the cpu at a steady 30 degrees fareinheit, without evaporation and water cooled
