http://www.notetab.com/

I just found this as I needed a text editor that can wrap and unwrap easly, and I tried vim which is also a good one, but it did not have that option.

This one has quite a lot of options, and it's 100% free for the lite one and you can pay to get even more features, but the lite is all the average user needs - and there's no stupid nags or anything, so are not reminded in any way that you should pay to get a better one.

I now use it to view my security logs, and to manupulate SQL. Works great! :yo:

looks good, I think I'll check this out later when I get a chance.

if you are in linux, give KWrite a shot, i wrote my article in there in HTML and every word was color coded to match the tags by default. Very convienient.

Just a note, this program sucks for big files. It takes very long to open large files, and it makes your whole system drag, even after you close it. I was just trying to open the AF database and search for a keyword (a post disapeared again) and I could not do it, it took like 1 minute to load (and when you got all these things in your head, 1 minute is too long to way, I want this to come in less than a ms) and then I clicked on search and it just froze there.

In other words, it's crap, unless of course, you are editing very small files, but in that case you can use note pad since it supports small files. I wish notepad would not have a limit though, since I would use that.

Vim seemed good, but it forces you to use word wrap, and that's bad for viewing logs, databases etc...

I'll keep searching for another...

I found another one called winsyntax, takes long to open databases, but not as long as the others, but once it's open, it's fast to do stuff.

It also highlights php and stuff, so I even switched to it as my php editor.

A better one is Winsyntax, no problems so far, but slow loading of big databases. But nothing a little overclock can't fix.
