I saw this a long tiem ago in wired, but this is the first time I've run accross it on the web. These sims-like "screenshots" are actually works of art that portray events of recent history along side a few scenes from classic movies.
Personally I find this quite facinating and thought provoking. The selection of images and how they are presented makes a bold statement about our society, culture, and how it is affected by media, while the perspective and video game style objectifies the events, so we can see them as the really are, while at the same time reminding us of what actually happened... not just what we saw on the news. ... ... well that's what I'm getting from it anyway...
