Federal and provincial agriculture officials have confirmed the presence of one case of bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE), commonly known as mad cow disease, on a farm in Alberta.

Not anymore...

Of course, I wouldn't want meat eaters to get it.....

That's why they should just stop the slaughtering. Can't they see God is trying to tell something?!?!

You would think the cholesterol and fat is enough of a sign...

LOL yeah. And for people who need it, nuts are high in fat and cholesterol.

Nuts have NO cholesterol in them.

No plant foods will EVER have cholesterol in it--only animal products.

Besides, your body makes all the cholesterol you need, so any extra isn't necessary....

Red is right about the fat though. Nuts are high in fat and if you are dieting, don't overdue it!

Just because something is vegan/vegetarian doesn't mean it is low in fat!

I couldn't get the article, but I hope Canada hasn't resorted to mass-slaughtering, as the Poms did over this and foot & mouth! That was completely senseless, slaughtering thousands of perfectly healthy animals

Such a tragic waste!
