I'll post pictures later, just thought I'd share this.
I was playing with it and this thing has power! 35 000 rpm or something like that. I was using it at half that speed most of the time, highest speed freaks me out.
This is good for all type of projects from wood carving to metal cutting. It's awsome!
My first project is to put my old AMD cpu fan on the case of one of my 486's.
I've never seen this done before, so it will be a good unique article as well. This fan is extreemely loud though!

You will get a lot of use from that tool. You can get different bits, even one for etching glass but you need a firm, steady grip though.

Yep. I will keep this forum safe from bit benders. No body will steal any of our bits and bytes. They are MINE all MINE, umm, I mean, ours.

...And this is my first "case mod".
Yes, I will use a dreadful loud, rattling, high pitched stock CPU fan for the case.
This is a 486, not like I'll be using it much anyway.
It's pretty much just for practise.

Is this going to be loud enough to drown out the loud snore coming from nearby?
Nice Dremel, mine is an old one, bought at a pawn shop. I think it only has 1 speed.

Nope, unless I also turn my dremel on at night and leave it on overnight - on top of the case.
That case will probably be for my routers and other networking stuff. Still not sure what I'll use it for, there's a set up 486 board in it and all, but there's quite a few problems, such as the power leds and all that mixed up. I don't feel like playing with all these wires trying to figure out which goes where! (not marked!)

You should get one... you can make japaneese mods on your case.

I don't think I could do it...
My school offers a class for that stuff. I am not going to take it though.

Seriously? That is awsome! I would love to take a class like that! I might be taking shop next year though, I tried to take it this year but it was full and I was one of the people put in another class. Oh well at least it was physics, was quite fun. We got the teacher to take out the van degraff generator almost every day.
Those are so much fun!

The class should be over there then...
I have no desire to take it really... I am not really into that hardware modification....

I wonder if they have it via video conference like some classes.
I can just picture everyone in a class on the fancy conference table with all their tools and cases, with sparks flying all over.
