Here is a little something I did when I was bored....
Go to your United Devices folder in your Programs...... (Or where ever you installed it.)
Then, delete every .bmp you see in there....
Now, you won't have those little "ad" things at the bottom... They weren't really ads, but I don't know how else to describe them....
You still have that United Devices thing, but you no longer have those Oxford things....
I know it really isn't a big deal, but I was bored, so I thought I would share....

lol. Some people actually complained about those ads at the UD forums.
I noticed that s4B site linking here again so I just need to get set a trap, I'll be around later, maybe tomorow, depends how long it takes to program.

I guess you could make your own if you keep the filenames, locations, and sizes the same....

Good Boy taka, your learning hacker ethic. I Think I am going to try this as well, even though I don't look at ud often.

Thanks....
I don't look at UD often either; that is why it is really no big deal!

I saw those before but never though of changing them... I wonder if the program forces the dimensions or not, time to add an IceTeks logo or something.

LOL yeah go for it. I think it will overwrite it with the original images once you send a result though, not sure. Seem that's what happened to mine...

It can be "the thing" for all of us to have.
If you use simple enough graphics, it will make it crunch faster.
not really.

Yeah, but it would be a bit pointless.....
Maybe someone can modify UD software and then hack into the servers to replace that original program with the one that is covered in IceTek banners!
Just kidding... That would be terrible!

yeah probably. LOL
What UD should do though is make it available as a zip file, not the MSI crap. I find it stupid that you need to download an installer for an installer.

That would have been much better.
Although, not everyone has a .zip utility...
Perhaps the best thing to do would be to offer both. (Like Mozilla does!
)

Or a self extractor, or just an installer that uses the normal installer technology that is built in the installer and does not require another installer!
