The 3 R's

-Redownload the board software
-Reinstall the software
-Restart the forum

:P
Seriously though... Something is not right with the board. Topics take forever to load, thought it was the server, but A/F is working fine. So I think it might be the board.

This sucks since even though we will now be on a newer version, I will need to reinstall all the required mods (like the one that stops the avatars from looking like crap if they are small).

Oh well. Hopefully this will do.

I'm installing a test board right now, I'll import the database, and if I see it's faster, I'll do the switch over, if it's still slow, then I'll know for sure it's the server, and that it's just a coincidence that it affects just us.

Red, I am glad you are trying your best to keep this forum top-notch.

I would hate to restart, but if that is what is needed, I am all for it. :)

I'm currently importing the database into the new install of invision board (http://www.iceteks.com/test/ use at own risk) so we will soon see if it will be slow or not.

One little problem is that this might cause a skin confusion, using the current db in the new install.... It's almost done uploading, so I'll go check the test board...

Hmm, it seems that when it just sits there doing nothing, if you hit back then forward, it goes right away! Still, this is enoying.

Hello everyone!

I am here; look at me post!

Look at me post; I am here.

Storms are the successor to sunlight; storms are approaching. I can smell the rain, hear the thunder; receive blasts of wind.

Therefore, my presence here shall be expected not. At any moment, I could no longer be accounted for, no longer seen; no longer posting.

Rely on me later.

Anyway, I am just in a weird literary mood today..... :roflmao2: Plus, I neglect Mr. Semicolon a lot, so I thought I would use him! :roflmao2:

lol.

You should get into C++ programming. Compilers get mad at you for forgetting to use a semi colon. :roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

It can take a while to figure out where, when you are working on a few thousand lines of code. :roflmao3:

You are probably getting the storms I had earlier. The bad things went a little to the south of us, so we were fortunate... :)

I imagine they will be weaker when they reach you. I hope so. :)

I just don't want it to get too long, it seemed to be the worse one for that white page, so maybe it will help to keep threads not too long. I will merge the last few posts into this one though.... right now...

If you didn't already know, Georgia is in the Southeast like Tennessee. If I were a Canadian, I wouldn't know that! :roflmao2: :roflmao2: We border each other, although I am no where near that border. B)

Well I did not know. :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

All I know is that USA has 50 or so states, and one of them (florida) has trouble counting. Now, Florida is not a state is it? I'll never be a geography teacher. :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

I actually am good at geography. I study Canada sometimes, so I am confident in saying that I have higher-than-average knowledge of Canada. :) B)

I don't study about the US much, but I can spit out state capitals pretty fast!

Canada is not a state. :P

(I said the state Canada :roflmao2: :roflmao2: :roflmao2: )

But yes Ottawa is the capital of Canada. Toronto is the capital of Ontario!

You didn't say a US state!

A "state" can also mean an independent country. Therefore, Canada is an independent state! :P B)

Yep, Torono is a capital of Ontario. Ontario has everything! :roflmao2: If I were to move to Canada, I would live in Ontario or British Columbia. I am not quite sure which one...... :banghead:

I used to not like it because there was a lot of learning by heart. I did like the stuff like earth formation and volcanos and tectonic plates and all the fun scientific stuff. Using maps was fun too, my teacher used to make games where we had to find things and stuff. High school geography was ok, but elementery school geography sucked. All we did was copy notes.
