My present project must be a big one. It's been running 19 hours and it's only at 54% and I've been outside most of the day.

Yeah some get long! I've been runnning one for 6 hours and it's at 46%. This ain't too bad to consider all the rebooting and reinstalling I've been doing, then the problem turned out to be mozilla using 99% of resources because of the stupid ads I tried.

It's still slow for me, not as bad as before. Guess it is loading the ads with the animation that's slowing things down.

Really eh? I might remove those ads, the only reason I wanted ads on the forum was for the banner exchange, and that did not work too well, so I might remove them. I don't want them to cause slowdowns. The server is also experiencing a slowdown though, so I'll wait and see if it cures. It seems ok at my end, but still slower, but the whole site seems slower, so is A/F.

What's with these servers? Are they so overloaded they can't handle the traffic?

Not sure, I find all the internet is so slow lately. Server slowdowns left and right... I keep wondering if something is up. A soft version of the SQL worm, but that is not bad enough to be noticed, so it keeps going around.

Yes, seems a lot of sites are having problems. There was a notice at Pitstop that their server had been hacked and they were going to make some changes. No details on that though.
