Here's a sneak preview of what the new skin will look like. That will be the forum view, and it will look similar for topics, but most likely without the ice (just the gradient). There will also be a border with bolts on top and on the bottom, but it will be a bit different and have more icicles!
Let me know what you think! This will be the main style, I still need to fix a few things such as the fact that the background tiles show (you see a line if you look closely) but that will be quite tricky and is not that noticable. I might even make it so forums are spaced out a bit. It will be kind of like a rack of some sort.
As I type this google is spidering the forum.

Thanks.
I think I will use this same style for pretty much everything, even the member lists etc... saves SO MUCH on individual template editing. There's at least 50 or so different templates to edit.
But it's what makes this forum good - very customizable!

That looks nice!
However, if I make me window resize, Iceteks won't resize with it. I have to keep my window full-sized or else I have to use the horizontal bar.
I don't like keeping my windows full-sized!

Maybe you're trying to see too many forums at once!

It should not do that... But if you are refering to the way it looks like now, disregard it - something is wrong and I'm trying to figure it out. That's why it's all wacko and stuff! It keeps adding returns and causing parse errors too. Hopefully I'll get it...

Yeah, I'm still trying to figure it out. I don't know why but it's ingoring the footer of each category table, so that's why it's doing that.
Is that what you ment though?

Cool. I fixed it.
The forum tables are actually suppost to have a background, but I think it looks better how it is, but I'll put the background to see how it looks like. Only problem is the "new/old" post button might not look good but I'll play around... I hope you like it so far.

It wasn't that visable......
It was in the centre of the top below the banner if my memory recalls correctly.

What caused this page to stretch too far?

Oh as for the clock, I did not put it on the new skin yet. Thanks for mentioning as I was forgetting about that.
As for this stretching, the picture resize mod was, well, not working.
Something else to work on after this skin is done.
So far what is done and working sure is kick butt! I was planing to put more snow and stuff, but I think I'll stick to metal theme. I can put snow on the buttons when I make them. I'll give this skin another week or two before it's completly done. I just can't wait to see our "competition's" reaction on this big improvement.

Don't know, but they sure will be jealous. They are using a VB portal system with no custom php scripts or anything fancy like that. Heck, there's not even custom html. Their site is basicly, install, configure and done.
And they make fun of *this* site? OMG
The general public will only get to see the skin once it's 100% done though. Right now guests still see the corona one.

lol
Just an update on the skin... So far I just skinned the forum home section, the forum view (view the topics in the forum), the members section (list the members), the top 10 posters (overall and today's) and that's about it. Those are the biggest sections.
For the topic view and topic post, I will need to think up something a bit more original but at the same time, simple enough. I might just add the gray shades to the table with the basic solide state metal header and footer and bang.
I'd say that I'm probably about 50% done. The things that are left are the less looked at but yet more complex things, such as the PM manager, profile view/edit etc... oh, and the search feature... The register section will be done last (I'll have to make the skin default to view it as a guest) and also all the buttons such as "post new topic" and stuff.
I hope you enjoy the new skin so far.

Are you going to offer this skin to the Invision skin communities?

I probably will, but I have no clue how to make it into a installation tar file and all that. Downloaded skins are archived in a special way so you just upload it to a folder and click on install from the admin CP. But I probably will offer submit it.
