Redirect Time

So Red, how did you change the redirecting time, you know, the "you will be taken to this place, or click here if you do not wish to wait"...that dialog. you seem to have cut it short! How did you do that? is it easy?

Yeah it's through the skin files. Edit forums/skin/[skin folders]/skin_global.php and search for
Code: Select all
<meta http-equiv='refresh' content='0; url={$ibforums->vars['board_url']}/index.{$ibforums->vars['php_ext']}$Url'>
Where the content=0 is 3 I think, and just put it to 0.
I think this can be done in the global / redirect section of the admin cp.
This was actually a submited mod, I think it's the easiest one to "install"

It was originally ibresource.com but they just combined the skin site and mod site into one site. A good move actually. It's a great site. There's quite a few more skins there too.

what is that big mess there red? that some long web page file name??
you can just make it like this. if the page is in the same directory as the page your transfering from.
meta http-equiv="refresh" content="5;url=my.html"
the code above changes at 5 seconds and goes to the page called
my.html you just have to add in the greater than and less than arrows because putting them in here was changing the page on me.
this code was for use with a net cam so it would refresh the page and change the photo your net cam was placing on it. but it works well.
only doing this with a lot of pages or too short of time will make some visitors mad.
use this spareingly.
