Need suggestions for future Skin...

I just want some ideas on what you would like as the new skin. This is the only skin we will have, and it will be modded like crazy with lot of customizations to the forum and it will be the only skin available, I might keep the corrona one, but I won't mod it too. So newer mods may or may not work on the corrona skin. Some don't require changing skin files, but most do.
I was thinking of going with an Icy one to go with the site, but that involves using the same colors as all the site and I don't want to sick everyone with those same colors, so instead, I might go with something non-ice and it's not the end of the world if it does not go with the site theme. I can still make ice buttons and restrict those ice colors to buttons only, but not actual backgrounds and stuff.
So any ideas you have post it up! Making this skin will take quite a while, and some practise at first, so we got plenty of time.
I just want to have a good idea of a general layout color.
Should we go dark, or say more bright?
Everyone's opinion please

The colours.....
Hmm.... Something bright is easier to see for me. Not too bright, however. The brightness of this current skin is perfect. I can see everything with no trouble.
I just have to include this....
Something GREEN would be nice!
Something icy would be cool. Since the colours of an icy theme are not to bright or too dark....
ADDITION: Black would be bad, IMO, because it makes things harder to see....
Having something too bright or too dark creates too much of a contrast....

The new skin can be accessed from the user CP. It is barly started, but I need more suggestions on the colors. Is it ok how it is? Or should I switch the IPB blue to the same blue as the rest of the site?
Or should I go with a completly different theme? I want more opinions from everyone on this.
Thank you

I am using the new skin right now. I think it is a good base for modification.
As for colours, I have no idea. I will think about what the best colours would be in my opinion.

Wow, I just got this awsome idea. How would you all like a metalic skin with frost and icicles and snow and stuff. Something like these ads...
<img src='
http://www.iceteks.com/graphics/ads/iceteks_ad23.jpg' border='0' width='468' height='60' alt='user posted image'>
<img src='
http://www.iceteks.com/graphics/ads/iceteks_ad13.jpg' border='0' width='468' height='60' alt='user posted image'>
<img src='
http://www.iceteks.com/graphics/ads/iceteks_ad16.jpg' border='0' width='468' height='60' alt='user posted image'>
I think this would be awsome, but the only downside is the lack of color - it would be more grayish, but for the buttons and stuff, I can always have color and make them look 3D metalish. I'll read up a few photoshop tutorials and I'm sure I'll get even better, as my photoshop art is done without having read any tutorials, so I'm sure I can really come up with something super after reading and understanding some tutorials. I'm sure I can find a bunch on the internet.
Let me know if you'd like this style, because we're going to go with it! I really like it but I want everyone to as well.
Then our slogan can be "don't lick the metal fence, come to IceTeks"

Red, I'm sure whatever you decide will be fine with me. You've done well so far.

You are just looking at it from a Squirrel's point of view!

For a squirrel nothing is a mistake. But there's a few exeptions
like the time I ran accross a 8 lane divided high way and caused a 28 car pile up
and that time I chewed that big wire that said danger on it
and how about that time I checked if a mouse trap was set
and that time...

And that time you caused the transformer in my yard to blow. I thought a bomb had been dropped!
Now there is a squirrel guard on it which should have been done when the pole was set!

LOL I don't know if it's because I mentioned it already, but that actually did happen a few years back!!! I was mowing the lawn, and all of a sudden, I see smoke. Thick blueish grayish smoke, first I thought it was the car's engine, but when I went closer, it was the transformer beside the driveway - it had been knocked and it was off the cement foundation, and it took all the components with it. It was on fire!
I go inside and call 911, I noticed half of our house was working, and the other half did not. No electrician could figure out why. For example, the stove clock worked, but the lights did not work.
It took a whole day for the hydro guy to fix it (not to mention all the fire trucks for about an hour, before the hydro guy came). All the neighboorhood was without electricity for that time!!!
A few hours later, the neighboor's house caught on fire because of a cooking accident!!!!! What a day! People must of wondered why the fire dept was there twice in a row!!!
I need to put pennies in the fuses more often, it's so much fun!!! (just kidding, that's not what caused it)

They probably cut down all their fruit and nut trees. Squirrels have a sweet tooth too!
They love our peaches!

If those squirrels had an internet connection and a computer, they would forget all about your peaches!
Of course, you will look a little crazy by giving squirrels computers.

Oh yeah, and chipmunks too. Chipmunks are the crual slow destroyer type. They eat june bugs and grasshoppers head last. A long slow death!!!
By the way, check the new skin and let me know what you think of the top portion. I'm working my way down.

I have been using the new skin, and I noticed the change. It looks great!
Although, maybe that metal could use a bit more texture. Sort of like the brushed metal look in Mac Apps...

Yeah I'm trying to figure out the texture thing. The problem is that I also have to make it so it "hooks up" to the side sections without it looking like it's different parts. Maybe if I just do a vertical texture it won't show as much. I'll play around with it.
I also like the new user bar, it looks so much better then the default as it's not all cramed on one line, I made it so the "logged on as" part is on it's own line and the "my controls" is on another. So much better.
Also added the "vote for us" and the "fight cancer" links, instead of having graphic buttons.

oops, they're suppost to be blue/turquoise. I always forget this monitor displays more grayish, that changes things a little.

The colours of the icicles are the right ones on my monitor.
