NTFS, have 2 partitions, C (7.7GB) D(46GB).
Backing up is easy for me, I store everything on D.

I was thinking of putting my OS on one partition and everything else on the other, but I don't want to take any risks or go through the trouble. That is something I would do if I was doing a fresh install.....

Partitioning isn't that hard, really. If you get something like Partition Magic, it is a snap. Then again, if you don't need to do it, there is no reason to. I had to do it so I could install Linux....

i know it is easy with a program. and i know you have a article on it red.
but what you dont remember is what i posted in the codeing room here.
i cant do anything with out a program other then html.
i have been going off of what i have learned from keeping these computer i have and some friends computers running.
if i was to sit down and read the code for doing xhtml which you all think is easy. i would be able to make a web page that says my name in about ? 2 to 3 hours of reading how to in xhtml.
i just am a very good dead reckon person when it comes to what it looks like.
but not always.
i stick to the questions i can answer or have a very good idea of what the poster is trying to do or find out.
because i can only give an for sure answer if i had the same trouble happen.
i think i am doing well for teaching myself by learning on the web and by trial and error. when i was you youngun's ages my school did not have computer class'es. shoot the teachers could not even use a pocket cal..
well some could.

I only have a 30 GB!
Linux is taking up 6 GB, so I may need to buy another (faster) one when I get some money!
It is possible to do a non-damaging conversion to NTFS if you use FAT 32. You just have to type a few things in the command prompt. I don't see a need for it though if everything is working fine.

You have come up in the world fishy.
I really have no use for a bigger hdd. Doubt if you can buy a 20GIG anymore.
BTW, I'm working on a description for that module to list on ebay. It's been so long since I sold anything, I've probably forgotten how to fill out the seller form!

how about something like "sun netra memory module. new, opened only for picture." then give them the model number. on something like that, i'd make them purchase shipping insurance.
so shipping and handling would be like 7 dollars. unless you wanted to be a nice guy and use the seller pays shipping option.
it really doesn't need much of a description, the people who would need it know what it is, you aren't trying to educate the the lookie loos.

Thanks fishyfool, that sounds good, just keep it simple. I've never shipped anything without insurance. In a few cases, I've paid for it, just to protect my investment.
