This is sickning. People realized they can't attack us here, so instead of causing problems on our site, they cause some on others.

Check this out:

http://www.grid.org/services/teams/team_me...A94AA9&ord=NAME

Someone registered that name, and it's certainly not someone who just uses that name and wants to contribute.

I have contacted the server administrator at UD and hopefully he can remove it and maybe give us his IP so I can contact his ISP, or he can contact them himself.

Now, we need real members on there, the name will just go down the list and will be forgotten. ;)

Yeah, but at least here, we can delete it. They also did it to the Reliexec team. I'm pretty sure I know who it is, but I can't put an official blame till I get proof. I doubt it has to do with that S4B site we had fun at, as this was done before that whole site issue (well at least, me finding out about it - it's been up since November)

Hopefully something will be done about it soon. They should transfer the points from that team to ours as a punishment.

That's great. I will be downloading Mandrake overnight for awhile, so I will be sure to keep it running!

Just a head's up.
Unfortunatly they don't have UD for unix/linux or mac though and don't plan to support it ether. I'm thinking of finding another DC project that I can start a team so we can have team IceTeks not only for UD but other projects as well.

I wasn't going to put it on Mandrake. I was talking about when I download the ISOs... :)

I will download it as soon as I get caught up at these forums!

That thing is going to stay at 0% forever!

Do you leave your computer on all the time? I don't know if I could sleep with the noise.... Maybe if Windows just shuts the hard drive down, it will be quieter.....

You and I are the only ones? (Not counting that other one, of course) That sucks. We need more people!

Yep, it takes a while. Don't watch it go, you will fall asleep! it can take up to 10 minutes for it to change 1 percent. It depends on a lot of factors, but mainly the speed of your PC. The average molecule takes a good part of the day.

I leave mine on 24/7, but you can still close it, but you just make more points if you leave it on.

I actually need my computer on to sleep, it sort of blocks my dad's "pre- snore" stage where he starts moaning and making funny noises.

Oh, and if you want, you can sign up at the UD forums and post in this thread to encourage others to join, sometimes there's people looking for a good team and they will look around. :)

Cool. Is it a smallpox one or just a normal ligandfit cancer one? The smallpox ones are faster, but the cancer ones are bigger (and save more rats :P ) and give you more points!

I am doing the cancer one. :)

After all, cancer is a bigger killer than smallpox, and it should be more of a concern...

Yep, there's an option in the device manager to set what you want to do, since if you only want to do cancer, you have to uncheck smallpox. Otherwise you get both, I do both right now. They had a problem where it would change back and people would get pissed, but I think it's fixed now.

I still haven't looked all the way through the preferences....

Red, what score did your computer get? Mine got a 94.... :banghead:

This thread has basically been a conversation between you and me! :roflmao2: :roflmao2:

LOL yeah, that's funny.

My computer gets 109, sometimes higher. it changes.

The computer downstairs gets like a 40 or something.

My 486 gets 100. Don't ask why or how, but that's what it gets. It scores 100 for the processor, and it detects it as 0hz. :rofmlao2:.

The preferences are online, on the ud agent click on the 3rd button on the bottom for preferences, then edit the device profile - that's where the smallpox setting is. You'll have to log into your account. You can also change other things but it's pretty self explanetory. :)
