Tamer Pet Tourney's... Want some Input

Probably going to throw a couple of these in the future. I have finished building a solid building to have them in, and would like some input.

No healing your pets. That ones obvious.

No attacking other players pets. Obvious.

What I want input on... what pets do you think should NOT be allowed. I'm thinking ancient wyrm's and frenzied ostards.

Anyone else?

all pets should be allowed. That way people get a better idea of which pets work better vs different monsters. The only problem I forsee is the tamers that have packs of yoshis. 5 yellow yoshis vs 5 yellow yoshis would be a VERY long and boring battle. 100% phys damage against 100%+ phys resist... I think those battles should be settled by the tamers themselves fighting, lol.

and not to be a grammar nazi, but here in the states we don't use the apostrophe to make a noun plural.

no offense but this idea sucks its always gonna be the best stated or highest damage pet so whats the point =/

Reco, they did this a few times on demise and it was a lot of fun. The main pets used were WW/Mare and Bake/rune beetle. But there were a lot of different pet combinations. It also involved some luck, as I blew through all of the competition but my ww got poisoned and couldn't cure it in the last fight.

This is why i dont think ancient wyrms should be allowed. And I meant Yoshi's. Not frenzied ostards. lol. Sorry about that.

I say allow any pets, but the pets need to fight against a pet of the same type, and only one pet per fight, so if its yoshies, only 1 yoshi against another. But a 2 yellow yoshi battle would never end so those could be the exeption.

After we can always try out different combos, like see if an fully trained AW can take on a pack of rabid squirrels or yoshis or something.

None of the legendary steeds should be allowed IMO... Holy War Horse, Chaos Steed and Black Unicorn.

I think this could be a great idea...

A fully trained up pet vs. another of the same type would be luck for the most part. Putting up different types of pets might be imbalanced, but adds to the variety and allows to see which ones are better on this shard.

Another idea would be some form of PvM tourny...
Put pets and tamers in a ring with something big and nasty, and see which tamer can kill it with whatever combo of pets they have available, along with any healing and stuff they need to try to win. You could do a round based thing, where you increase the difficulty of monster each round until one, or none can defeat the monster.

That is a very good idea. That way people other than tamers could enter too. As soon as the first monster dies, monster 2 pops up. It would be a challenge to kill the lower lvl stuff without burning up your mana.

That would be easily doable using doom spawners actually, set like 10 of them linked starting with something simple like a drake, dragon, shadow wyrm, skeletal, AW and so on. Could have different tourneys with diffferent mob types.
