I know what the last few rewards are, but what is so special about the first couple pages worth of stuff? Is it just robes and jewelry?

The first few items are just tagged and hued clothing and jewelry. Pretty much everything in the Vesper Museum has some kind of tie to Ultima history as well as Ultima Online's history.

When you get into the 550,000 point range, that's where the items gain properties.
