Server relocation - May 18th [cancelled]

Just a heads up that the server will be moved back to my basement around May 18th 2007y, which will involve a change in the address, as the current server provider also does DNS, so the DNS name will go down as well. The new IP will be the one of the test server.
Once this has been done I will make an official anouncement and uosrv.uovalor.com will no longer work. All items/houses etc will be transfered over. There may be a period of loss, but I will do my best to get the freshest backup. Just don't do anything major on that date, like redesign your house or something.
Keep in mind the "new" server is on my dsl line and will be very laggy. Expect pings over 1k and world saves of 2-5 seconds. (runs in VMware on my main server). Yes, it's a downgrade, but AoV is dead and I see no point in paying what I was paying just so I can run around dungeons alone on my cusidhe when I could pay 5 bucks per month instead of 180 and do the same on OSI.
Also this site may be innaccessable durring the transfer as even though its on my web host, the server provider does the DNS for this site url as well.

Last payment was $189.60 on March the 26th, so the next one will most likely be April 26th, so I'm letting that payment go through, and I'll be cancelling the service around may the 15th or so and doing the relocate.

And to the ones who donated, it was not lost, all the donations put together might basically have ilimiated a whole payment.
The thing I've been seeing is UO in general is dying. But if by chance things pick up in the future I'll get a dedicated server again.

You need to figure out a way to be the first freeshard to code in UO:KR support. There would be hundreds of players here then

ok from the looks of things, lot of people have been recruiting, I've been seeing lot of new people on, so maybe the shard will pickup. I decided to keep paying for the current server, so I will not move it back to my basement, so don't have to worry about your ping suddently going in the thousands since we'll be remaining on the dedicated host. I encourage everyone to donate, as things might be tight financially until I get a job.

Might be wise to record a log timer for May to fully analyze the playerbase. Record charts for the number of players on at peak hours and do some comparisons.
