my trip

lol thought i would start a journal about my trip to north queensland.
Has rained nearly non-stop since i arrived. All the wier's are over flowing including the large dam here.
Bought a bunch of tackle. Some nice lures.
first afternoon out we got into some sleepy cod jungle perch and tu-arp-ia how ever the hell u spell it. Was all awsome and my little bro snagged a silver barramundi. About 50cm - so just a baby. was in some wild ass course way and wam he had it.
second afternoon. We got kicked out of our original spot by some rangers so we moved down river to another good spot. About 30 minutes after we started casting lures I got hammered in the still water ear te bank by another baby silver barra about 50cm. Was basically all we caught for 2 hours fishing but it was insane to be catching silver barramundi.
On the way to the spot we were at and on the way home we got absolutely mollestered by these nasty paper wasps. nearly had to bail into the water just to get away from their swarm. i got bitten in the ear on the head on my back and my bro got them all over his face. savage little SOB's they are wen you distrurb them. They are thick as here atm along with tree hornets snakes and mud gecko's.
i think tommorow we are going to give things a rest and then thursday we are going to get into a wier down the road a little bit. Live baits and lures and try to either get a monster barra or a couple of very large eels and mangrove jacks.
Weather is beng as cruel as possible probably atleast 85% humidity if not much higher and 35+ degree's. Still having a sick awsome time of it. haha.
Most fishermen around here are lucky to catch one barramundi in 2 years and we caught 2 in 2 days easily.
might post some pictures once i get home to Western australia.
