I was luberjacking lastnight and I could not chop certain trees down, kept giving me the you are not close enough to tree thing. I was standing on the tree literally and the terrain was flat had 6 trees in a row like that. Not a huge thing just letting you know. I was in Fel. I dont get that same message in Tram. As if you guy's dont have enough to do.

Did you check to make sure your circle of transparency was off? If it's on and you try to target the tree, you are actually targeting the ground because of the transparency.

Was it near britain? Due to the BP oil spill some of the trees have actually turned to tar.
j/k lol
Probably what death said. Or, I do recall there is a certain type of tree that is also weird to target, think you need to target the branches and not the trunk. I've run into that before.

circle of transparency was off and it was not that wierd tree you are talking about and I do know which one you are talking about it wont allow you to chop it. This incident was like 6 or 7 trees in a row (litterally in a row) it was just plain wierd and not a huge deal. i just moved over to next row and it was fine. I just thought maybe you guys should know.

If you can, post a screenshot location and record your location using automap in terms of (X,Y,Z) coordinates OR use a sextant in game. That way we will be able to go take a look at which trees are causing an issue.
