Hi,

I played here like over a year ago, then had a huge break, now i'm keen to play some UO again and the best place? ofcourse Age of Valor I created my account 2 days ago, but didn't have time to do anything else pretty much. Yesterday all day I tried logging in, I enter my user/pass, it takes me to the shard selection screen, to pick either the TC or the production shard, I click Age of Valor, and it just sits there on "Connecting" forever..and ever...and ever

Is this just me? I initially connected and it was fine.. I didn't change any setting in Razor... login.uovalor.com, 1337

Sounds like you may be patched up too far. What patch are you at?

Ahhh, I thought it was fine cos I logged on one initial time! It probably is patching. My UO says UO Version 6.0.14.3 (Patch 80).

This is a client I've had on my PC since I originally played here well over a year ago, maybe even two years, so also it could be that it's not patched enough What ver should I be on?

Thank you both, I am patching now to that version. Silly me I could have been playing since yesterday morning if I had asked ;p

this is frustrating.
I update the client, I can clearly see it download the huge 330 mb update which is labelled 6.0.14.4, i let it apply then it starts to proceed to download 7.0.0.0 so I cancel it.

When I run the UO client, it still says 6.0.14.3.... Patch 80, I even copied the folder, did the next update and it skips to 7.0.0.0.

I can't get it to 6.0.14.4

EDIT: Nevermind I think i've gone too far, 6.0.12.4 i need?

I think even if you're a few patches behind you might be ok. I don't recall if there was any packet changes or not, think they only started at the last few 6.x and 7.x has major changes.

Should UO client version 6.0.14.3 be able to work on Valor?

Using Connect UO, I can connect to every other shard, Just not Valor..

6.0.12.4 is what you should be at. Anything after and they did major packet changes. Only TC1 works with the latest patch.

That would be illegal and EA could bite us for that. I rather not take the chance.

In the next few months I hope to be able to do an update to the server. That is not a promise though. This is assuming everything goes well with the storage system. Still lot of work to be done, and lot of testing after that.

I finally connected. Ended up uninstalling UO and re-installing it and watching it very closely while it patched and stopped it at the appropriate one...

I think it's a little odd every other free shard worked with the later version apart from Valor? Bit of a hindrance for new players and players moving from other shards where they were playing and on the same RunUO software except it doesn't work on Valor?

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. Please modify the live server so you can play on later patches like TC is now. You can modify JUST THAT and nothing else. Don't tell me that this includes spaghetti code that includes too many other systems. I will never get tired of asking...
