dude, seriously... uo.stratics.com bookmark it so you can do your OWN research instead of just posting "what does this do, how do I do this?"

I bet if you take an hour or so and read thru the webpages dedicated to UO, you will find WAY more info than you will get by posting and reading the responses. I guarantee that you will find info and tips that you wouldn't have thought to ask about.

No need to get all hostile. The guy asked a question, you could have politely pointed him in the direction of stratics or uoguide.

These 2 websites provide a large amount of information on UO:

UO Stratics: http://uo.stratics.com/
UO Guide: http://www.uoguide.com/Main_Page
UO.com: http://www.uoherald.com/guide/index.php

In terms of accuracy and overall content, I would suggest UO Guide. UO Stratics is still a good resource to use however. UO.com is also a useful resource. I have included a link to the playguide if you want to take a look.

In short, a prospector's tool increases the value of an ore vein by 1. So if you are mining in a certain location and you're getting gold, using a prospector's tool on that location will bump it up to agapite. Valorite is the max it can get bumped to. Veins can only be bumped up once with a prospector's tool.

More information can be found here:
http://www.uoguide.com/Prospector%27s_Tool

It is to be noted, however, that prospector's tools may not be working 100% as intended on AOV as resource veins for ore and wood work a little differently and change too often. If you are using the prospector's tool and it's not doing what it's supposed to or you suspect that it's not doing what it's supposed to, you can leave a bug report or you can post in this thread which I will check out later.

That's what you get for being helpful rather than snarky, he doesn't even know who you are.

But I bet he doesn't mistake Doc Thunder for anyone else. :D

i wasn't even trying to be hostile. Perhaps I was a bit sarcastic just to nudge newguy in the right direction.

HAH, then he doesn't even know the difference between the admins who have answered every one of his questions and been as helpful as possible for him.
