Improve Quest Rewards

I just did the orc quest which you had to kill 20 orcs 15 orc mages 15 scouts and 5 orc brutes this took me like 2 hours me and my axe no pets died like 5 times when i finnaly finnished i was so happy that i finnaly finnished and couldnt wait to get something cool for this quest but all i got was 1k gold ad a couple of peices of armour which was crap i mean cmon! i could get all that from one orc scout we need better loot or their is NO USE doing quests i mean noones on to play with so i got to something. Also it would be good if you could create some more quests as well.

The "custom" quests currently on AOV were meant as prototypes to test out an expandable kill quest engine and a different type of quest item that had to be delivered by foot without the use of travel spells. Although there are a few quests that will toss in a special reward if you are lucky, they were put in to test quest mechanics and items that were given a trial run.

The rewards themselves were based on treasure map rewards, which may not be the best rewards out there. We would need to figure out a better drop system to boost up the rewards for the custom quests.

Yeah, those quests are a lot of fun, but take 4-5 times longer than champ spawns, and give maybe 5000 gold worth of stuff lol.

Agreed its fun but its a waste of time if you get no reward plus i dont gain karma/fame from the creatures i kill during the quest?

Your fame/karma might be high enough that killing lesser monsters won't improve it. Your karma might also be locked, if you use necromancy. You may need to kill harder monsters in order to improve your fame and karma.

Ya, orc brutes will give a considerable amount of karma and fame. You'd have to kill a decent amount of them and if you've died, your fame will go down. So it all depends on how many you've killed without dying
