Just for FYI

Not a complaint just a statement!!!!!!

I have thought for some time now that this was going on so I have been waiting to see just to prove to myself.

I don't really care!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just thought I would share.
My Robot AFK R G. Has been coming up short on his quota. I Suspected that items were being removed from his pack by some unknown source while I was AFK.
I decided to make a let test of it. Being the Science teacher and all did an experiment. I start my guy off collecting with 2 insured AOA's then by morning I check to see if they are still there. Well this morning my insured Holy claws were gone. I was alive and so was my pet. I macro in stealth so no one can rob a stealther till they reveal him. Since item was insured unless there is a bug in game insured items cant be looted. Since I was alive and well with my non insured items I was not killed and rezed. So ALL IS FAIR IN UO. Just thought I would share. P.S. no expirement can be conclusive unless it is repeated several times so I started it again.

Tom, I really have no opinion on whether your AoA gathering is right or wrong. I see both sides of the issue. What I do know is that you put a lot of thought and effort into the macros you create.

If thats the staff's final resort to what you are doing, that seems pretty lame.

But, on the other hand, I can see how people could get angry at what you are doing and I am sure the staff is feeling pressure to stop you. Don't let it get to you, take it as a sign of defeat that they cannot stop you by any other means than by making your AoAs dissapear.

In fact the reason I had so many accounts banned on demise and OSI. Is because I enjoy making scripts and razor macros. My taming script on Demise was just funny. I did everything down to renaming them DD neewbs and releasing the pet. I remember taking a screen shot after for tamers of mine covered Dagger Ilse with newbs. Then to stop me they spawned orcs and I just used orc helm to stop the attacks.

I don't mind what ever they do. I just think it is funny that I have been trying for weeks killing only deamons 24 - 7 in attempt to get the 3 greaters and no luck. Then the one day I had off I start it up and within the first hour I got a message that I was rewarded a greater AOA and got a duel wall gen. Then I start insuring items and they go poof.

Don't get me wrong. I think Red is doing a great job. I just think until it is banned or not banned they should treat everyone the same. It is easy to say do this at your own risk. Hell I am in Fel. "AFK" any Tom Dick and Harry could happen along and gank me and take my days work. THat is the point. THey could!!!!!! If they don't then the booty should be mine. I say just let me get what I get!!!!

Were they REALLY insured? I've checked your pack just now, the claws were behing a robe of regen.

the pigment left in my pack. I got up found nothing in my pack ran home grabbed a pair of miners gloves insured them and went back to a spot and started it up again. So as of 5am I only had miners gloves in pack. No robe of regen or claws but thanks for info. Hope I am alive when i get home. heheheh I need a robe to bad I have not had time to make a script to insure items as I get them. Huuum.....

Items should not be getting deleted, if it was old enough I can try to get the seral and track it (if it was deleted by staff). But there IS a bug with vanishing items which is not trackable unfortunatly. not only items, but houses, aparantly. There were a bunch of houses that just randomly dropped in the past few days, including staff made buildings at innaccessable places for regular players.

Up to you. I went to bed last night at 9pm and item was in my pack insured. I got up at 5am to go to work it was gone. I insured a pair of miner gloves tossed in bpack and left for work. I will be home in 2 1/2 hours. Will check when I get there. If I am dead or alive gloves should still be there. If not something is up.

LIke I said it is up to you to check but I am a teacher and also work at the college so I say spend your time in books and if time left over enjoy life.

No I thought of that Ratboy but how could I make an 8 hour RPV then sit through it for 8 hours to find the spot that they do or do not delete item.

Would not work.

I have set it to take death shots but that does not always work and I have a lot of random pics captured of me teleporting to my hill top. Which I never took so think it must be bugged.

If I have a stack of AOA's in pack say 7 and some one just wanted to delete them while I was AFK and the insured ones are at the bottom of the pack. and all the ones I got over the 8 hours or so were on top since they spawn after I start the macro then they would not think to check for insurance knowing that I have been AFK. It was done to catch someone well more to prove to me what was up.

I am not blamming people just stating a fact. Claws were insured and they were not in pack when I woke up.

My only problem is making an expirement and changing my control group. No one new I was testing them so repeating this now after posting that I insured items would make someone look at the items before deleting. SO I would have to change everything now to make this valid.
