UnrealUO shows offline and the banner doesn't show up even though I've verified that the link is correct.
I show a lot of connections from 67.19.158.242, but it doesn't appears as though the UOGateway status request packet is coming through properly.
Code: Select all
Client: 67.19.158.242: Connected. [7 Online]
Client: 67.19.158.242: Disconnected. [6 Online]
This is a RunUO shard.

The missing banner seems to only be in the browser I'm using. I tried two others and it shows up.

I've verified that the UOG queries are being replied to:
RunUO, Name=UnrealUO, Age=6, Clients=8, Items=84357, Chars=7810, Mem=139196K
By the way, Age is the server up time in hours.

Sorry I was gone on vacation. I will take a look at this better hopefully tomorrow.
edit: nm looks like it's working now:
http://www.uogateway.com/shard.php?id=148&act=view
It does take a bit of time before it gathers enough data to show up in the list.

Hello,
same at my shard Vetus-Mundus. The list show him offline, but this doesn't true. I see your connects, but the status offline are false.
Code: Select all
Client: 67.19.158.242: Connected. [79 Online]
Client: 67.19.158.242: Disconnected. [78 Online]
Can you please look, what there are false?
Many thanks to you!

Hmm odd, I can telnet to it but yeah it's not showing as up. Also I don't get disconnected after sending a few returns, normally it should disconnect me. Are you using strictly just encryption or another protocol by any chance?
I just checked the logs and this is what I get:
Code: Select all
[Aug-10-2009 04:06:53pm] Connecting to Vetus-Mundus [shard.vetus-mundus.de:2594] (Attempt 1)
[Aug-10-2009 04:06:53pm] Connected, sending stats packet...
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:05pm] Time out exceeded while waiting for response
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:05pm] Connecting to Vetus-Mundus [shard.vetus-mundus.de:2594] (Attempt 2)
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:05pm] Connected, sending stats packet...
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:17pm] Time out exceeded while waiting for response
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:17pm] Connecting to Vetus-Mundus [shard.vetus-mundus.de:2594] (Attempt 3)
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:18pm] Connected, sending stats packet...
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:30pm] Time out exceeded while waiting for response
[Aug-10-2009 04:07:30pm] Updating graphs for Vetus-Mundus
Seems for some reason it's not responding to the packet. May be timing out (believe the time out is about 10 secs) though it is odd that it times out every single time. Which client is your shard coded for, is it for latest client or an older one?
Is there perhaps lot of lag on the network connection?

I wasn't sure if it was the cause on my shard, but I had found that it wasn't closing the connections after the UOGateway connections so I added code to make sure the connections were closed properly. Apparently that was the reason for it not showing up originally.

Hello Red Squirrel,
Vetus-Mundus ist designed for UO-2D-Clients from 5.0.9.1 to 6.0.14.2 and we test at this moment the new SA-Beta-Client. Our Players can with the 2D Client connect encrypted and unencrypted, how they wish, and any Beta-Tester with the SA-Client.
At
http://www.connectuo.com/cuo/index.php? ... ist&page=3 at bottom af the page you can see, that the online status and player count for vetus-mundus work. Our Server have a big network connection in an data center in Hamburg/Germany, lag is unusual.
What is the IP-Adress for shard.vetus-mundus.de, that you get from the DNS-system?
Give it an especial script for uogateway for RunUO? Or what ist die packet-design, that uogateway need?
I check now connect uogateway over an alternate line, our proxy-line over line2.vetus-mundus.de and also port 2594. I change it in my account.
Thanks for this service!
best regards, Lumberman

Hmm this is really strange, I tried to connect with the uo client and connect fine.
This is the packet sequence that should be happening, perhaps you disabled it by accident or it is not working correctly. It should be stock in RunUO, though I do know Sphere does not have it. That is something to fix later on.
Code: Select all
Logger::Log("Connected, sending stats packet...");
BitStream tcpquery;
//server responds to this packet:
tcpquery.WriteInt8(0x7f);
tcpquery.WriteInt16(0x00);
tcpquery.WriteInt8(0x7f);
tcpquery.WriteInt8(0xf1);
tcpquery.WriteInt8(0x00);
tcpquery.WriteInt8(0x04);
tcpquery.WriteInt8(0xff);
client.SendBitStream(tcpquery);
client.SetBlockingMode(true);
string Response="";
string tmpchar="";
//get data from server until char 0x0 is reached
if(!client.RecvUntilChar(Response,0x0,5000,100000))
{
Logger::Log("Time out exceeded while waiting for response");
continue;
}
else Logger::Log("Response receved: " + Response);
