Shard revamp / shard future (April Fools!!!)

Lately I have been asking myself if all this work is worth it, and came to the realization I have not even played UO in over a year other then maybe logging on once and a while only to be bombarded and having to log on my admin char to do something, so actual serious playing has been to a real minimum.
Due to the economy I realized it is in my best interest to fast track my project management and start working on my web hosting setup, which leads to the sad conclusion that the revamp will have to wait, if it even will happen. I do not plan to shut down the shard but I will not be paying as much attention to it as I will be busy with my web hosting control panel, serverweave. (serverweave.com). With this may come an app called clientweave, as I want this program to basically be an all in one server/client management solution not only for web hosting, but LAN environment management such as software deployment, email, colaboration and so on. I will be competing with Microsoft in a way, and try to mimic all the colaboration tools they have, and make it cost efficient for companies to actually run everything on Linux and base it on SW.
So I will be very busy with this, and I may even be downgrading the shard to a lower end server to save money. Right now the cost to run AoV is nearly $200/month. I might try to find a cheap celeron server that is under $100/mo though if I get a good deal I might step up to a P4. Anything above is more then 100 per month.
I don't like the idea of just shutting down the shard, but this will be my version of "shutting down" as I will be paying little to no attention. This does not mean I might not come back later on though and restart on the revamp, but I have no plans to at this point in time.
Opening of registration is under review by staff and we may decide to leave it open, but we will not be around to babysit, so it may turn into chaos, which we will not be dealing with. I will make another announcement once this is decided.
