Another reminder about logging on to other servers

Do not EVER use your aov password to login to other servers.

It has come to my attention that tony montana has started a shard and is basically doing the same as redrum and getting passwords.

Do not, under any circumstance let people know your username and password, ever. Do not log in to any systems with them.

dude passwords are encrypted with RUNUO encrytpers which you CANNOT get passwords IM doing this SERVER TO MAKE UO FUN

Actually they're not encrypted when sent over the network. It's not really hard for someone to let wireshark run on their server or script it to write to log.

I loled. It's not hard to make an ML shard these days.

Red's not trying to keep players on AOV (In fact, we're quite busy with the revamp project to jump after all the ones complaining and building their "sub-servers" or threatening to leave (Or getting banned)).

Red's warning AOV players not to use the same username/password combination on other shards if they plan on playing on numerous servers such as demise, SL, AOV or whatever tickles their fancy. It's not the first time a player has left AOV and did some data mining for passwords by creating their own shard (and I'm sure it won't be the last).

If you think your shard is better, than I suggest you run with it and make it the best you can. Hell, SL did a great job with their server and they apparently have around 200 members now so all the power to them. There's no need to fly off the handle. Players are more than free to play on your server, just don't use the same username and password is all.

tony has pmed all devs with very silly questions numerous times, in hope to get code from us or help with errors. If he can't figure out that kind of stuff on his own, chances are his shard will fail.

His shard is nothing but premade packages. Copy and pasting a script and changing a few values does not count as coding.

Also, considering the shard is 20x better, do you mind sharing some of the back end optimizations you've done so far?

I'm sorry, but if you can't figure that one out, you really should not be running a shard and saying it is 20x better then ours.

We were still debating on if we possibly unban your family and maybe you, but this has changed and consider yourself and the rest of your family banned.

Again, good luck with the shard. I suggest you don't touch the serialize methods in scripts, or in your case, just be more careful while following copy instructions from premade packages.

I dunno, I mean really, tell if Im wrong here but, I cant take a dump in a paper sack, poor a bottle of polo in the bag over the crap inside, and its gonna smell 20x better then it did. Or does it really?

You guys have fun with your new nightmare. You basically asked for a crash course in c# scripting, so I hope you really wanted what you asked for. Thats especially true for that new can of SpegettiO's brand RUNUO you just installed.

And lastly what I really hope for you is that you do get some players, sink about 5grand of your own money into the shard and about 2 years of your time, just so some teenage punks with some downloaded skills can come visit your shard and create the same kind of nightmares that you guys created for us.

lol C# crash course. Yes. That Malganis ml package is a good effort at a ML shell, but it's not fit for production use imo. Same with the SVN altogether.

I can actually area disconnect everybody in a given radius within about 3 secs on svn. If nobody is around then it just lags the shard.
