For those of you grumbling about spending so many
[insert resource here] to get
[insert apparently crappy reward here], take a look at this.
This is what my stable looks like, in search of the perfect stat-ed pets.

Sad thing is, those would be comparable to getting a +20 mining gloves from an LBOD Val Smithy. Just shut yer hole, and enjoy the BODs. While they're not the sought-after "prize", they're still very useful.

Doing BOD quests has as much to do with your luck as it does getting random arties back to back.
Even if the bod system was not written like a bowl of spaghetti Os it would still be hard to get runic hammers. Its kinda like Karma, if you want it, you'll never get it, if you want something else, you'll get what you wanted last time.
That speculation that goes around that its easier to craft "good" gear then it is to find it is hardly true. The godly crafted gear you see around the shard was not just popped out of a single runic. I can tell you that I have spent probably the better part of 6 solid months farming resources, and crafting and got lucky enough to get 1 item that would be considered godly.
Im not the only one on the shard who can tell you this story either. There are a few who have spent countless 10s of millions on resources and runics to craft the ultimate item, and still have yet to get it.
So keep tring, and stop wanting it so badly. Your going to get some junk and your going to get something decent. Just because its not the best the game has to offer doesnt mean its all bad. TBH, my favorite runic of choice is a verite hammers or a yew/horned kit.

Heh, I wasn't dissing or defending the system mate, my point was:
While they're not the sought-after "prize", they're still very useful.
I'll never take up crafting, that's completely not for me.

I still haven't made a wark fork i'm happy with and if any of you remeber Beelzubub, I first started playing Wolverine and Deadpool as a fencer before he quit the first time (not when he came back and was banned). And the armor you see by hero's armory is only the shit people decided to keep around. You have no idea how much of it went into trash cans.

And this is why I would rather inject flesh eating bacteria directly into my urethra than to craft day in and day out.
Ony and Minky are right though, and while I empathize with the frustration... rome was not built in a day.

IDK why everyone thinks the craft system is hard. With the quest system on here it makes it insanely easy to good items. I have about 3-7 godly weapons for every template imaginable, and countless pieces of good armor. Most of the time I haven't even been trying to get them either, I mostly just spam public chat annoying people until they give me some PvP
. To get a single good wep or piece of armor for a specific character takes no more than a week.
On here, with the addition of the earrings slot and ML items, it's so easy to hit stat/prop caps, and you don't need anything particularly rare to PvP or PvM.

My only real complaint is that the rewards are not set to reasonable levels for the different rarities of ore. For example handing 1050 val and gettin 80k gold pieces and some a copper runic with 50 charges ROFL honestly this is fail.
The way the system works atm is rubbish. In 6 months the only thing people will bother doing is mineing a selling ingots. I say this because for what it cost me in resources to get the Runics I have; I could easily have sold the ingots from my quests and bought tripple the runics and rewards easily.
So I ask why the hell is anyone going to bother once is there is a bit more of a player base on the shard? They will just offer X amount of cash and buy what they want because it will be easier and cheaper.
And lets face it. You couldnt increase the amount of gold u get from smithing buy burning the hammers into items and selling those, because there is about a 0.0000001% chance that the items u craft will be worth as much as the hammer would be if u just sold it.

Somebody has to do the quests or no one will sell runics. If everyone stops doing bod quests there would be o more runics. Therefor you argument has a hole in it, if no one is selling runics anymore then you will have to do all your own bod quests to get them, and will then not have the reasources spare to sell.
