But seriously, having fed some of my pets as soon as I got them I noticed the "Your pet will bond in 7 days". Now I never tried feeding them after that until now. I've had my pet WW for about 5 or 6 days now. (I can't remember exactly) but I took him out of the stables to see if feeding him would tell me how much longer it would take for him to bond. When I fed him it just said "Your pet will bond in 7 days" again. Do I reallllly have to wait a whole nother week?

Hmmm know what, that might explain the bonding bug. Before it used to not say anything but a while back I added that message. So it looks like if you don't feed it often enough it resets. Try feeding it every day to see. Make sure the loyalty is max first.

You need to keep it wonderfully happy at all times for it to bond, so best way is to tame it, feed it then stable it for 7 days (without taking it out).
I know the message has always been there while I've played and I've had no problem bonding any of my existing pets.. but I know Triss is having the same problem as you.

On RunUO bonding pets always been bugged unless the dev's of the shard had looked deeply into it. On RunUO shards I've played your bonding timer will frequently reset if you take your pet out and feed him during the one week bonding period. The only way to ensure you only have to wait 7 days is to feed him and record the time of day you feed him on a certain date. Then wait 7 days and 7 hours (to allow for server resets, downtime, etc) and then feed them again.
Or you can take the garunteed approach and just start saving as soon as you finish taming a pet you want and then by the end of the week if you run a few champs, do a bunch of bods, and just generally be productive you can probably save up enough to buy a PBD incase your timer did get messed up and your pet won't bond.

I took my WW out and fed him and it didn't say anything today. I think you might have to feed him once and THEN wait the 7 days. I'll try feeding him later on tonight again and see if anything changes.

When bonding first came out on OSI, the timer would reset from feeding, giving commands, and even removing from the stable. Since that fiasco left a bad taste (took over a month to bond a horse), I've fed my pet, gave it 1 command (follow), then stuck it in the stable for 1 week.
In my paperdoll profile, I'll write:
BondingCu began bonding 2 Feb 09.
Done bonding 9 Feb 09.
This way, it gives me a good reminder, and I'll typically wait until the day after to pull them out to bond, since I often don't remember the time, and server restarts, and whatnot.

Sooo yeah, I've taken my WW out and fed it again today. It still didn't reset or at least say it did. So I'm pretty sure now that you HAVE to feed to start the 7 day bonding period AND feeding it after that will NOT tell you how long you have left till bonded.

I have bonded several pets and I generaly take them to the stable feed them and immediatly stable them. With my WW I did not take him out of the stable until the 7 day mark was up and he bonded when I fed him. I fed and have ridden a horse for 7 days and fed it again after 7th day and it bonded.
But yea you have to feed it atleaste twice for it to bond. Once to innitiate7 day bonding period and then second time to actually bond pet...

Umm, not sure why you're taking him out and feeding him again.
Try this:
Feed -> stable -> make a mental note of the date to wait seven days -> after time period is up feed him again and it should be bonded.

L O L. QFT.
I think it is an epidemic among UO players though, not a limited case. Hence suggesting using your journal/comments thing thats on every char's paperdoll.
