How often do you fizzle? I found with 120 magery I sometimes still fizzled on making a vortex...

Yeah, it was weird, I saw him fizzle 3 out of 5 once today.
That not seeming right would be an understatement.

All the information I can find on game mechanics and formulas indicate that should be a 100% cast at 120 necro. Not 99% not 99.9999999%

So why is it, and why should it be, different? cuz it clearly is.

Casting success (ignoring spell intensity and such, pure casting success chance) shouldn't have anything to do with karma or SS either.

Just like my success in casting a mage spell is magery dependent and has nothing to do with my eval or med skills.

Are you using some type of macro for casting it that could maybe be farked up? Try casting it manually?
