Revamp FAQ

The term revamp might raise some questions to some so here I will try to answer as many as I can as well as add more as new concerns are brought up.
When can I expect this revamp to be complete?
Due to various delays, there is a possibility we release the revamp in steps. We are hoping to have at least a portion done by the end of 2010.
Will there be a shard wipe?
Absolutely not. We have no plans to do a wipe and it would be bad on our part to do this as everyone has worked hard for their items, characters, houses etc.
Will some items or pets be removed?
This is a possibility, but at most we may just change them instead. There is also a rare chance that we keep the existing items as rares, but I don't like having non obtainable items laying around so they will most likely be changed or removed to be balanced. Any removed items/pets will be greatly reimbursed by other means such as equivalent item + a decent amount of gold.
Will we get the rest of ML as well as latest OSI changes?
Most likely yes. We want this revamp to also include pretty much all of OSI content unless there are some things we deem negative. For example OSI tends to have temporary artifacts left and right, we might not have those, but instead make them drop permanently through some other means. Some small changes like this may be done but we will try to stay as close to OSI as possible, where it makes sense.
Will the demitel palace and the bosses be removed?
Most likely not, but they may be changed up a bit. The plan is to make their artifacts a bit lower end compared to what they are now, and make them as mini peerless bosses as part of in dungeon quests.
Will all the ML quests be implemented?
Most likely yes. We also want to make the system as versatile as possible in order to add in many custom quests as time progresses. The more quests the better, and there can never be too many.
Will this be an OSI clone?
While we do plan to follow OSI very closely, we don't want to just stop there. Some things may be done differently, while some things may be added. Our goal is 90% OSI and 10% custom as far as game play goes. Stuff like events (CTF, pvp tourney etc) that don't affect the actual game play are excluded, and will be quite custom.
What will happen to masterpiece resources? Should I stop collecting them?
Masterpiece resources will be converted to UOSA's imbuing system. They are very very closely related except imbuing is much more versatile and applies to both armor and weapons.
