uogateway.com expired a day ago. I was hoping it was not set to auto renew so I could get a chance at snagging the domain but it was so it renewed today.

But uogateway is dead, and so is connectuo, due to their failure to perform backups. They gave up on it after their data disaster.

So I was thinking of starting a project to replace connectuo and uogateway. I think lot of people would love such program. It makes it easier for players to check out different shards and it also makes it easier for shard owners to have their shards easily accessible to the public.

Now, I have no time to code such program and don't plan to reserve any time for it as I have other priorities, but I'm willing to setup the required infrastructure to do so.

Just wondering if anyone would be interested in coding such application and maintaining a website to go with it. I already have a name in mind, but it will not be disclosed until/if someone shows great interest.

This would help bring us traffic as well, which is one of the main goals. I would want it launched after we do our major shard fixes.

I sent you a pm but thought I'd post more details here as well.

Basically what this program would consist of:

- The website would have a top site list where people can submit their shards
- the uogateway program would be downloadable and read this list once a day to update, but could sort in alphabetical rather then popularity, or evne have an option for the user to choose.
- When a shard is clicked, depending on the settings the shard owner set when he submitted it, it would open razor or the client directly (if encryption is enabled on their server).

So really what we're looking at is just a launcher. If we want to go a step further and add the encryption build in it would be neat, but that is WAY beyond my knowledge and it would be something we'd have to keep maintaining every time there's a patch, so I say just skip the encryption and rely on Razor, they're usually pretty quick to update when there's a patch anyway.

Extras would be if there could be a way to check the online count, ping etc of servers, and it could be in the list as well.
