It will stack but the difference does not amplify. For example, if you have a slayer weapon, it will double your damage to said type. If you have the same slayer on your talisman, it will not amplify to 2 x 2 (Or 4x the damage). There "IS" an additional bonus, but it's not nearly that high. Also, slayers are calculated in the max damage cap so if you've already hit that through normal means via tactics/anatomy and DMI bonuses on your weapon, then the bonus you get from that second slayer may not even make a difference.
Slayers do not affect the hit spell's damage on the weapon, only the melee damage done with it (With the exception of a spellbook which will amplify spell damage).

Area weapon hits are not affected by slayers. Only weapon hits and certain (most) damage spells are affected. Also talismans and weps don't stack but if you have say, demon/snake slayer on a talisman and vermin/undead then all 4 slayers do apply but if you have balron damnation on a sword and demon on a talisman then those two wont stack.

The not stacking sucks. I know it has the potential to be abused, but couldn't you input a diminishing returns script? Same dealio with the area effect, why not? Why the pick an choose what it effects?

It used to be but that was the issue. People were doing like 400 damage on bosses. It was retarded.

We had it stack before but it was too much amplification so it was removed. Also, area spells are different than area attacks as they require mana and skill, not to mention area spells working with slayer talismans does not work on OSI (Or any spell for that matter).

AOV could be noted as being a different game entirely as many things stray from the basis of uo such as full blown customs. Many people like it, many people hate it. To each their own.
