Let's just say, they are stomping you from long range, even when you are invisible, and dismounting from long range too. Who gave heavy crossbows to those things?

You're on the ground when it stomps so you're affected, even if you're hidden. I'll check the range though, don't recall how high I set it originally.

Also, they're probably weapon switching to crossbows as the AI does that automatically for monsters like ronin and ninja and all that fun stuff but considering they are blade fighters, I can make it so that they don't switch their weapons.

Hmm if they have no archery they should not be switching to bows.

Ah, yes. That makes more sense. Is the dismounting also supposed to be ranged? I and Esk had a hard time agains't those things. :<

Yes, stomp attack is ranged. Should be fairly short ranged though, like maybe 6 tiles.

I'll be shortening the range to 6 tiles as 10 tiles is a tad too long a range. They'll still affect you if you're hidden though as that's the norm with aura/area attack dealing monsters.
