Jaelon's Journal: September 29th

From what I've read recently from the Sosarian Standard, I am pleased. The factions, although still hostile towards each other, are apparently ceasing from combat amongst themselves to help combat the common enemy, this un-identified cloaked figure.
I am also pleased that Jacob has retrieved Zurol's old book, and now has a chance of unravelling this mystery once and for all. But I fear that even once the mystery is solved, many battles will be fought and many more lives will be lost.
As to my inquiries and research into blackrock, further discoveries are scarce. I hope that Jacob gets new information from his interview with Zandofir.
Until then, I will stay by Mordak's side. The other healers and I have determined that a clever combination of healing and curing potions with a slug of liquor added does quite well in calming his fits and so long as we feed him this concoction at regular intervals, his condition seems stable. Hopefully we will be able to be curing him soon as opposed to
merely keeping him painfully alive.
Plus, I assume Jacob will come by sooner or later to see about his friend, and when he comes I will be able to offer my healing services to the forces of good, as well as request a proper burial and ceremony for Zurol.
