umm just found these yesterday and they are intensely hard to kill, it took one whole grim all creatures fighting agains it, but anyway lol elemental slayer doesnt seem to work on them.

They're technically there for decor/scenario purposes at the moment and not really meant for killing purposes at the current time. They will have elemental slayer and a quest chain involved with them as the scenario progresses.
