A server/client set of C++ classes that also supports multithreading...

The server basically just takes connections and takes all data and sends to text file and sends a * to client each time it does this. So when I hold down a key if I get a constant stream of * it basically indicates that it's not too backlogged. Right now it's doing not too bad considering I got hundreds of local connections blasting out data to it. Server load could use a little work though, the code may need more tweakage.

Not that kind of server. It's the building blocks to create a server that can handle numerous essential server logistics. Red's been having some great progress with it so far it seems. Good job.

Yeah that actual server does not really do much. I managed to make it sustain about 800 connections blasting out data. and by sustain, I mean the server grinding to a halt, but still handling data, sorta. there's still issues to work out as some connections get ignored but in general its coming out nicely. Just need to work on efficiency so its not as hard on the machine.

Then again I'd have to compare with other server applications as 800 connections blasting out data is quite a lot.

It's totally backlogging at this point but in a real life situation I'd be kicking off any abusive connections sending data too fast.
