I'm thinking of switching from Vista to Ubuntu. Will Razor/UO work with this?

I heard of people getting UO to work but not razor, and you need razor to login here. You may be able to use a windows VM though. The newest vmware (still in beta I think) will let you play graphical games so maybe that's an option. Been wanting to go from xp to Ubuntu myself eventually.

Thanks for the reply. I may just run dual OP's for now. I'm a technotard when it comes to linux but I just keep hearing how much better it is. I hate Vista but it is better than ME which is what I had on my old comp.

Switch back to XP. Vista and ME are uber ftl even more than most windows. But as gamers you almost have to run a windows box. Blows ass but its how it rolls. Though until like 2 years ago I still ran one of my boxes on 98 SE. As far as windows goes 98 SE was probably their most stable OS ever, lawl.

I run Vista exclusively for windows. I run Fedora for Linux. Linux/Mac still have a long way to go to be a viable desktop replacement in 90% of the world, especially while some companies still write websites that ONLY work in IE. Vista, once configured properly, is the best version of Windows to date, you just need the proper hardware and knowledge to support it.

I can't stand sites that only work in IE. That's pure horrible programming. We have a lot of those at work. They also did something weird with some sites and their SSL cert where you can only load one site at a time in firefox (the site itself works). They share the same serial, screws up something that IE forgives on but not firefox.
Right now XP is probably the best way to go. Give hardware manufacturers another 5 years to catch up and Vista will maybe be viable. But right now Vista pretty much pushes any mid end system to it's toes if you want to do anything intense. One of my friends was playing WoW on vista on a newly built $3k machine with only 2 gigs of ram. That PC was swapping more then a prostitute.
