Aside from the granite and doom stealable stone/rock graphics. Are there any other that are attainable on AoV? I know of the two daily spawns on OSI, but as far as I know, they aren't activated here yet.
I'm asking cause I've got a design I'm working on that will require a great deal of different kinds of rock graphics, and I'd like to exhaust my options before I go ahead and start using stacked ore piles.
Thanks,
Nexus Graveheart

The only 2 obtainable rock graphics are granite and the level 1 stealable rock in doom. I believe I know which stone type you are referring to. It almost looks like a small stack of rocks.
If you have information on the daily spawns and where they occur on OSI, feel free to provide a link so that we can implement it. Otherwise it's a low priority system that will be put aside until research time and implementation becomes available.

The first set of items (fruit basket, rocks, etc) are the daily ones that spawn at server up. I always wanted to try and get some on OSI, but I could never force myself to wake up that early to nab one.

Works for me. I'm not sure exactly the methods I'd want to use though. We could make them daily rares and have a timer on them that starts from the time taken (So once taken, the next one won't pop up for another 24 hours). Either that or make them stealable.

Whatever works for you guys. I'm just excited to have a few more deco options whenever these get put in-game. Thanks for taking the time.

Well good thing I searched the forums. My wife was going nuts trying to find the rock in Buc's Den and couldn't and just found out reading this that they aren't around. Have they been implemented? And not just the rock but the other rares like the broken chair, rope, hay, colored wires, herbs, fruit basket, horse shoes ... etc.

http://www.geocities.com/eleonardouo/trues.html
Just wondering if these have or have not been implemented. I know it's no where near top priority, but it's just something that we like to find and look for. She's been in Khaldun and loves getting those new rares too.
Thanks!

I can certainly add those in. Nexus provided information on them awhile back so it's cool. However, we want to make sure that they can be taken freely without expiring or requiring stealing skill.
You see, items that spawn naturally will eventually be cleaned up by a decay process (Like when you toss a robe or set of shoes on the ground, after enough time surpasses, it'll decay). Some of these are easy to add due to their low spawn timers (30 minutes). Some are a lot more difficult to track (Per server up for example).
We would need to restrict the decay process on the item until it's taken.
It's a little more involved to make it work here by design. (On OSI, daily rares were originally a bug that they decided to leave in due to popular demand for these items).
As mentioned earlier, it is a lower priority system but we do plan on bringing to aov (We have a ticket opened for it). We'll be drilling down on many of the opened tickets in the new year (Preparation for large scale development has already begun). As it's been brought up though, I can look into bringing the "easy" ones into the game.
In the meantime, you can benefit from collecting the other custom items that AOV has put into the game (Check Khaldun and town chests for some extra surprises
).

Thanks for the info. Yea, I remember when people found out about the rares. Didn't consider the factor of the decay (duh). So does that mean at some point the covered chair would exist? *excited*
My wife's been enjoying the Khaldun runs and has been in the process of doing the town chests.
And is there list of the tickets/upcoming 'updates'? I've read a few of the things, about the collections merge too. That sounds like a good idea but yea, deciding on what a given item is worth in points is tough when you have all the other factors.

If we decide to put the system in and get it to work in a similar fashion, then yes, we will put it in. The covered chair is also obtainable through the "broken furniture" OSI promotion items though so that item might be iffy whether we consider it donation material or a daily rare (but probably a daily rare).
You can check out all of AOV's tickets here:
http://www.iceteks.net/devel/index.php? ... 1&do=index
(Cept for exploitable bugs and concerns which may be blocked for obvious reasons). Please note that some tickets are experimental or "ideas" which may or may not make their way in game (Such as elaborate systems). Bug fixes and implementations usually get processed in terms of difficulty or urgency.
There's not usually an ETA on launches as it's not always clear what time will be available to code in our busy lives. Updates are kind of like OSI publishes where a rack of stuff is updated at the same time, once we get a large enough list going. Players can read up on updates under the "news" section. We post all the relevant changes that concern players (Some backend changes that only admin/developers will notice may or may not be posted).
Tickets are created in several ways. Mostly stuff we've noticed but a very large percent are generated from player feedback and bug reports so keep them coming.

You should make it something more 'rare', like weekly or maybe monthly if it was to be implemented that way. If it were a donation, do you mean like collection system wise? Or something else? Gold and resource gathering is one of the aspects we like (as odd as that sounds). Mercantilism ftw.

I need that ticket system in our dept. And will do on the feedback and bug reports. Great job!

I like the idea of the items simply decaying. Get 'em while they're hot or you miss out, it'll make 'em even MORE rare.

It's not as straightforward as it may seem. The submersia palace ruins has a system like that. There's a lute in there that spawns once every 14 hours and only stays up for 1 hour. I don't think anyone has ever gotten it. It's doable for items with small timers but not not really the best idea for large timers.

Whereabouts is this lute?

Hey Death, I can PM you the coordinates of every daily rare if you'd like. I too would like to see these implemented on valor
P.S: I vote make them stealable so they do not decay.

I have resources but lack the time involved to implement them at this current point in time. If it's going in, I'm making it authentic to the way it works on OSI (Decay and all).
In the meantime I could probably make the items themselves though, just not spawn them
