I take it that it's not possible to get a full spellweaving book via inscription?

You need to get the scrolls of ML named monsters. Eventually there will be quests for some of the scrolls as well (fey and fiend if I recall). For now you can however buy some of the lower end scrolls.

Spellweaving is collect and quest based so it doesn't fall under scribe. 2 of the spells are specifically related to quests so if they were to fall under the scribe system, not many people would do the quest.

(The spells I'm referring to are summon fey/fiend. They'll be moved to the quest system when it becomes available).

For now, all UOML creatures have a chance of dropping the scrolls but named creatures will drop more of them.

When I get a chance I'll put more full SW books on my vendor. I sell them for 200k.

For my final odd question for the night, what's the best humanoid to 'charm' with SW?

Personally I like charming Ogre Lords. They are great at thugging Coon.

Probably sith lord. Think ogre lords can be controlled too and those have quite a generous amount of hits. They're like meat shields. Also, moug-guur and chihakka the toothed (Both named creatures in Sanctuary) are controllable with dryad allure.

Ya, I remembered that afterwards. Those things kick hard. It's a bit of a double edged sword because if a mage attacks them, they WILL fire off those orc lords and they'll go after you. However, you do get some nice damage output. Minotaur (Regular, no scouts or captains) used to be okay but they were toned down recently. Troglodytes might also be allureable, can't recall.

Trogs are out sadly. I tried the orc brute thing at a champ spawn, and wondered why the hell it was so hard. All the orc mages causing orc lord spawns. *slaps face*

So, where's a good spot to find a sith lord?

Actually thats a good question, there should be at least one on the whole shard, just can't remember where we put it. Try the darth vader spawn area. Eventually the whole sith stuff will be put into some kind of peerless/quest system.

Hmm trogs aren't working? Pretty sure they're supposed to be on that list. We might have forgotten to add them in when we changed the list over to include exceptions (Was using the repond list before but not everything is included).

I'll take a look at that a bit later.

Think it's in vader's dungeon area.

Know what'd be awesome? If, when the Orc Brute was killed, all his summoned Orc Lords disappeared....

Makes sense.

Thought they did disappear. If not, we'll code that in.

It's been a while since I killed one. I don't honestly know if they do on here.

From what I've been able to tell the last 2 days, they do indeed disappear when the brute dies.

Ya think I fixed that a while back when the orc champ was created.

Oh and I looked on stratics, apparently players on OSI have 'tamed' troglodytes using spellweaving.

Anything on UOStratics you must take with a grain of salt because stratics is not entirely accurate and represent the stats of the Atlantic shard (Most of the time during beta phase where they update every so often as news arises). Judging by their progress of UOML content, I'd say they are pretty out of date.

I'm almost 90% certain troglodytes are allureable but I have a credible source where I can pull up the allure list so if it's missing (Or if any other monster is missing) I'll drop it into the list.

Thats why I was going by what PLAYERS said not stratics itself.

So... speaking of spawns... how do you feel about undead type spawns in the ruins north of Cove beach and west of Spirituality shrine?

They smell like decay, I suggest a can of Febreeze.

But seriously, provided some screenshots of the areas you're referring to and I'll see what I can do in terms of spawning them up.
