Think it's an evolutionary trait. Some beings have to be dumber so that the smarter ones can have sustenance. Well, in the human world, they provide the smarter people with entertainment :D.

Working at an isp help desk I get to witness really stupid people. In terms of passwords, you should see what some people choose. I've had people put like 123456789 or use the word password, or even just their username. Yeah, real secure. :P

They do know they're allowed to change the temporary passwords you give them right?

Probably not. In fact, no, they don't. Some of these people don't even know their own email address, or their own phone number. It's scary. How can you pay for a service you depend on when you don't know the details of the service. lol

Most plug the info in Outlook Express and never look back, until it crashes or their pc has to be reloaded.

lol that would be like my mom. All the pre-loading makes people forget their email, usernames or passwords.

I keep a list. On paper. In a book.

At my job I have to change the passwords to my five different secure things once a month (Email, Company wide DB, Project DB, Project Development forum, and Payroll). I use a 16 digit alphanumeric generator to generate a new password for each every month and somehow learned to just memorize them. So I started doing that for all my important things like my email accts etc. I would love to see someone try to hax my secure shit it's be so funny cuz not even my best friend could.
