fun event idea - UO Deathmatch!

I actually stole this idea from a thread posted on demise, but it is a cool idea, and we have what it takes here to set it up, most likely be like all the other events where it auto rezes and teleports you to a safe spot to regen up, and you have all your stuff on you. It's also fun dying and seeing an unmounted ethy running around. :P

This event would be like FPS style, a large death match arena, most likely a dungeon or something, items would spawn on the ground (weapons, etc) and you go at it. I'd just have to code special event items, that way at the end I can global delete them. These items would be things like weapons with +100 skill, spell books with +100 magery and other such items, so you can basically go in there with any char. Ammo and regs (or scrolls) would also randomly spawn around. Only tricky part about this is limiting what people can bring, but I can always just make it free for all type deal.

lol make it like halo and have something like vehicles (Stationary mounts perhaps :P). I can see it now.....run up to the middle of the field, snatch the first rideable moloch. Start tossing these massive area fireballs :P.

nope since its actually a basemount rather then basecreature for mounts, as the graphics for mounting are unique to each mount. Would probably require client side changes.

I'll build a royal rumble arena later on when I get the chance. It will be rather simple, everyone enters a teleport to end up on the arena, everyone fights, last person remaining would get a prize manually added to their backpack. No need to even code anything. I could also add chests with items in it so while fighting you could try to loot them.

An extended version of this would be a deathmatch maze, with chests and such. Could make it like 3 or more storeys too. Like a really complicated building. Office rumble, could add in cubicles and stuff. :P Filing cabinets with loot. :P

Solid gold. I personaly dont like the box idea but this part i do.
I wouldnt call it royal rumble tho. Call it king of the hill :wink:
