The voting system for faction is great if there are more active factions members than inactive. But having Reco as my commanding lord and not being able to boot him out is stupid. Perhaps we could put some sort of activity requirement on the commanding lord of a faction. Like they have to log in once a week or something. The biggest problem with this is that tithing is set to 100% and since Reco doesn't play here anymroe theres no real way to lower that.

Hmm I see your point.

Though what I'm thinking of possibly doing is when we implement the faction pvp in all facets I will "wipe" factions so that nobody is actually in them and they'll have to rejoin. Reason is so nobody who is in faction comes back in a month not knowing they can be pked, etc... so they'll have to rejoin then get some kind of warning gump. But yeah I'll look into adding an activity requirement to commanding lord and other faction positions.

Could have sworn you could nominate a new commanding lord (Provided they have enough rank. Not just any new person can be nominated for faction commander.)

If you gain enough votes, that person will become the new faction commander in place of the current one.

It is a good idea you brought up though. If the faction commander has no logged on in a while, their status should be passed down to the next in line (The next highest player in the faction) OR it should just be terminated so players can vote for a new commander.

I am trying to get to be commanding lord of TB. Doc is on the ballet, and the voting will be in a few days.

I figured that much Doc. I'm just thinking that with how factions died off that if another group joins CoM I don't want them slowed down by the old commanding lord not being around, I beleive the old commanding lord was enkel or Beelz. And we all know forsure that he's not coming back XD.

Ya, you do have a good argument there. Although there's a system in place to vote for a new lord once per 6 days, it's not a bad idea to pass the torch around or snuff the flame if the player is banned/not on during X number of day (Although, now that I think about it, it may be redundant if you still have to vote).

Except what if someone is elected and banned in the same day. Now the whole faction is paralyzed for a week unable to get faction steeds or place guards except for cities where they already appointed a sherif etc.
